Our client is a non-profit 30-day work training and placement organization, founded on the recognition that the work-worth of capable young men and women has gone untapped for decades. This has been a barricade to individual personal growth, as well as to community and manufacturing development. The answer to this problem is the creation of a comprehensive program that will foster both the personal and professional development of individuals. The academy is designed to be the link between the manufacturing/warehousing industries and the untapped thousands of individuals of all genders, ages, races, and religions who face personal self-esteem, economic, and social barriers that compromise their success and ultimately, their community.
The Academy is Looking For ...
an individual who is a true team player and a self-starter to lead the Job Placement team. This individual would possess:
- Associate degree in HR, career counseling, placement, or related field (or sufficient experience to commensurate)
- 3+ years of experience working with high school students or young adults
- Ability to manage, train, and lead the team of placement coordinators and mentors and bring out their best
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed documentation abilities
- Compassionate desire to help and guide others and highlight their best assets
- The ability to design and implement the intake program for our candidates, including (but not limited to):
- Interviewing and problem resolution process based on candidate’s life circumstances
- Determine if there are issues with transportation, childcare, or any legal concerns that would prevent success for the candidate
Compensation
$30-35/hour (based on qualifications) starting out part time (20 hours per week)
Additional Compensation: Medical Insurance benefits and no-cost day-care services available upon conversion to full time.
